Since switching from Film to Digital I feel I have grown as a photographer. And not all area’s of growth have been good. Take my butt for instance……..it sits on it’s chair almost 30 hours per week! How am I supposed to be the goddess that I am with a big Digital butt? So…..the “Healthy Train” is about to leave the station and I asking for your support and if you dare……join in!
I’m starting a competition just like Bobbie….she is the brains behind the “Healthy Train”. She is an inspiration not only in the working out and eating part, but also as a photographer.
So what does this entail?
1. Anyone wishing to join me on the healthy train must submit a before picture ( with measurements ie; weight, hips, chest, thigh, calf ) You have until next Friday to submit them to me. emma@barebonephoto.com. They will not be posted…..just a frame of reference for the contest. We need the measurements and pic’s to decide the winner!
Here are some of Bobbie’s tips for taking a good before shot:
- wear something that is easily comparable to another outfit for your “after” photo. For example… I wear a black shirt and blue jeans… that way, as I lost weight… I could just wear smaller jeans and a smaller black shirt so that it was easy to compare.
- stand somewhere that has a clean background… a white wall works perfectly. Standing in front of clutter makes it difficult for you to see your outline.
- be sure to take a side and back photo, too.
- this doesn’t really have anything to do with the photo… but I can NOT stress this enough… MEASURE YOURSELF!!!!! When the pounds aren’t coming off… sometimes seeing the inches fly away are FABULOUS for the motivation. I measure my waist, arms, thighs, bust and hips. Mike measures his waist, chest, arms, thighs and neck.
2. Why would you do this? To win a free photo shoot with me silly! The winner of this contest will have their after shots taken by me! And Get an 11×14 Canvas of their favorite shot! ($450 value!!!!!!)
3. Bobbies has started a Healthy Train group on facebook and your all welcome to join. It will be great for motivation.
4. If you’re a twitterer… And you’re on the healthy train… and you happen to twitter ABOUT the healthy train.. be sure to tag it with #healthytrain.
The contest is going to end Feb. 19th to coincide with the end of Bobbies Healthy Train.
