iphone-1.jpg

This a shot taken last night with my brand new iphone.

Yes, kids I went out and indulged (my palm actually self destructed last Friday)

No I didn’t stand in line for 4 hours. And no I didn’t pay premium for my 16GB pretty black iphone!

I just lucked out!

And I love it. It was always a chore to sync my palm with my mac. And the first time I plugged in my iphone I think I saw a glimpse of heaven.

Emailing has never been easier.

The only downfall is I have a new # 519.841.7840.

So get out your cell phones and day planners and add the new barebonephoto digits.

I’m now off to photograph three families at the Ronald Mc Donald house in Toronto!

Have a great day!

Emma

Smiling Eyes is a non-profit, volunteer based organization of photographers from all over Ontario. We have come together to form a guild dedicated to people/families facing the fight with cancer.

This new organization officially began in November of 2006 when founder Christine Kufske of Click Phototography felt a desire to provide some comfort to those battling Cancer.

Since it’s inception Chris has recruited 14 photographers to the Smiling eyes team!
Each photographer donates 2 complimentary photoshoots a month, giving recipients a photo shoot as well as the high res. CD of all the images shot.
If you know someone who would benefit from this service please feel free to send them my info!

Lish, Jeremy and Tristan

Lish is a good friend of mine. From the moment I met her my life has been enriched.
She could make anyone smile in 1.4 seconds and her smile alone could light up the northern hemisphere!
When she told me she had cancer I didn’t worry. She is so strong and all I just thought was “What could I do to help?”.
The following is the solution to my question……a kick ass photo session!

Danielle and Jeff are the most unique couple I have ever photographed.

With his penchant for Dr. Who and her flair for style…it was like taking pictures in a candy store!

What would a Dr. who fan be with out his very own Tardis!

Jeff rapping his vows!

_dsf0009-1-copy.jpg

You can only get the full experience after reading them yourself………..

WEDDING VOW GANGSTA RAP

Gonna rap the vows, gonna rap the vows
Gonna gonna gonna goanna
Gonna rap the vows

Gonna rap the vows, gonna rap ‘em real good
Cuz I’ve never done a vow and I know that I should
But I can’t do it the traditional way
So I’m gonna go gangsta and have my own say

It started way back at Mike Leon’s birthday party
I was approached by a girl who I considered quite the hotty
She was blonde and vivacious and them good looks didn’t hurt
And so I thought to myself “with this girl I must flirt.”

As the night wore on, the flirting did ensue
By the end of it all, I thought “what shall I do?”
She was moving away; she was off to Montreal
To pursue this foxy female made no sense all

So I shrugged and I left and I went “Oh, heck”
I’d let her escape to the land of Quebec
Two years went past, and I forgot about our meeting
But Danielle had been doing some reuniting scheming

Her sister had armed her with some facts on sloth poo
That’s how girls get guys in the town of Waterloo
But the strategy worked, soon we were rarely apart
Cuz gross animal facts are the key to my heart!

We went to horror movies and she barely even squirmed
As the dates went by, my suspicions were confirmed
With her ever-present smile and abundant energy
I could not deny that this girl was for me!

I was stunned, I was shocked, fate had sprung its trap
Truth be told, you had me at sloth crap.
So today I vow to bind our lives as one
Cuz a life with Danielle will be way too much fun

I’ll be there to wash the dishes and to fold the laundry
I will let you whip my butt when we play Nintendo Wii
I will help you up when you fall down
I will wear a red nose when you need a clown

I will stand by your side through the thick things and the thin
If you ask nicely I’ll let you trim the hair on my chin
As we near the end of this inspirational rhyme
I invite Danielle Saint-Onge to be my partner in crime!

And the Hora!

Thank you Danielle and Jeff for letting me be a part of your amazing day!

July 11, 2008

This is a picture of my youngest cousin Gabby on my trip to Boston last summer.

She is one of the most adorable and cutest kids I know, full of personality and charm.

She loves playing and rolling around in the lush green grass.

It was entertaining just following her around and watching her play on her own. Love you little lady!

Some of you may recognize this shot from the huge print of it in my house.

I took this shot 5 years ago with my nikon 90x with close-up filters.

I need to shoot more macro!

Enjoy!

So we went up to Bayfield last weekend and stayed at The Little Inn.

While we were there we went up to Godrich and I got to take pictures of one of my favorite places the salt mill!

Here is my newest “favorite picture ever!” shot. I think I’ll make it a 40×30 canvas!

Shortly I will be opening an online gallery of all my favorite personal work.

You will be able to order prints and canvases so you can enjoy them in your own home.

July 5, 2008

Hello everyone! – Lisa

As you may have read in a previous entry I am now a second shooter along side the talented Emma Smallbone after a year of being an assistant. Working alongside a photographer like Emma is a great honour and I am so happy and excited she chose me to be a part of barebonephoto. She is such an inspiration to me and she has taught me a lot in the short time that we’ve known each other. I’m looking forward to meeting all the special couples this year and being a part of your important day. So with that said, keep tuning into the blog because I can’t wait for all of you to see the great images that we’ll capture in 2008.
Photo of the Week-Jess + Rishi – October 2007

What can I say about these two special friends that are close to my heart? They are two of the most kind, caring and generous people I know. I wouldn’t have missed thier wedding in Kashmir, India for the world! The wedding was beautiful, full of rich crisp colours, and the turning of the leaves made an amazing backdrop for their portrait shots. The connection between them was felt by everyone. So for my ‘Photo of the Week’ I would like to share a few of the shots I took of them at Rishi’s family’s guest house retreat, Green Acres. I hope to go back there one day! Enjoy….

Christine-Guy-Hopkins was the mastermind behind the overall look and theme.

Check out her site @ www.brainstorming.ca

I’d also like to Mention Sandi Hall the Webmaster, Publicity & Promotions guru at The
Waterloo Public Library. Without her we wouldn’t have had great models and fun books to read.

Thanks for making this such an fun and rewarding shoot guys!
