The workshop was amazing. And work it was!

Every day it was critic and lesson in the morning.Then back up the hill for lunch…..and I say hill lightly. It was a mountain! I actually lost 4 lbs walking up and down it twice a day!

Day one we had a tour of the village and were told what we couldn’t shoot. Mostly military stuff.

Day two we went to more specific neighborhoods in Chiverico.

Day three we went into Santiago de Cuba. That was a hot day. and I don’t think the pollution helped my head cold! But I got some really great shots of a band.

Day four I went out on my own in Chiverico. Losts of fun. I even used some of my Spanish!

Day five off……sort of.

Then the trip back home….and flu like symptoms which I still don’t think I’m over.

This little boy was taken on day one. We didn’t understand each other, but I still felt a connection.

This old guy took awhile before he stopped smiling. But I waited until he did, and it was worth it!

On the Saturday we took a sunset cruise.

Trina took this great shot of me and Bill.While on the cruise. She never stops. I mean NEVER!!!

Which reminds me. Trina is Trina Koster Photography out of Guelph. She is an amazing Portrait and Wedding photographer. She also does a great deal of workshops and classes. If you love photography. Check her out! She was the organizer and teacher for Photo Cuba.
So this is just a very small selection of hundreds of images that I took while I was away. And I haven’t even taken the film in yet! Needless to say I will be having a show at some point this year. If I don’t I’m crazy!

Now I need to go renew my license before I get in trouble!

I leave Tuesday for an amazing week in sunny Cuba. Don’t get too jealous. I’ll be working.

I’m taking a photo-journalism course and will be documenting Cuban families in their homes.
I’ll be gone from the 6th to the 13th. I’ll be checking my emails but will be without my phone! And without my little Sophie!

I can’t believe it has been over a month since I last blogged.

What have my loyal fans done with out me? I sure they found some way to amuse themselves…….bowling, cribbage, Chinese checkers?
