I have been a part of the WPJA(Wedding Photojournalist Association) for over a year. I enter my images into competitions on a regular basis. Each time holding my breath to see if I have won. To become a member of the Artistic Guild of Wedding Photojournalist Photographers you have to win a competition.

I was checking my web stats today and noticed I was getting hits from the AGWPJA site. So I checked it out and realized I had won!

I am proud to finally say I am a AGWPJA member. I placed 8th in the details section for a shot of a wedding dress I took with my Holga. For those of you who don’t know what a Holga is: it is a plastic camera that takes medium format film. It has light leaks and has a really cool soft focus due to the plastic lens. I love my Holga!

Merry Christmas everyone.

Just a short note to say thanks to all my clients for making this year one of my most satisfying shooting years. I felt like I could be as creative as I wanted and my clients were happier than ever. I guess the old adage; “Do what you love and everything will fall into place” is true.
