Happy new year!

One of my resolutions this year was to shoot more for myself, and more of myself.

So here are some of the images from my first photo walk of the year.

I knew from the moment I met Megan and Levi we would become good friends………they were married 2 years ago this July.

Since then they have had a little baby boy Adam and have another one on the way.

I was just going through their wedding pictures and thought…….ooooohhhh I would love to see what this looks like with all my new tricks on it.

So here is the result!

Fun in the Garden!

When I shoot for myself it is mostly landscape and macro work.

These pictures were taken on my little G9 Canon.

My magnolia tree is finally in bloom.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to second shoot for another photographer. And I loved it!

It gave me the freedom to try new things and shoot from angle that I wouldn’t get when I’m the main shooter.

Christine from Click photography was brave enough to let me shoot along side her.

Here is an image I am in love with!

I’ll post more shortly.

Ok, I love my job….. a lot!
But some days I just wish I could sleep in or be on a beach somewhere warm.

I thought I would share some of my pictures from our trip to Mexico last year.

My Niece Taylor Reeve!

January 28, 2009

Trevor ( My husbands brother ) and Amy had a little girl Taylor Reeve on December 4th 2008.

She weighed 8lbs 5oz and was 21 inches long.

She is adorable, you just want to eat her.

Here she is one hour after being born!

One week later ~

Two weeks later ~

Recognize the scarf? (it’s the one I wrapped a naked Taylor in!)

Congrats Trev and Amy………anytime you need a sitter…….well until wedding season starts again.

Well hello everyone!

It seems like I haven’t blogged in months……well almost.

We have been very busy here at barebonephoto. We just ended a string of 10 weddings in a row.
So as you can imagine we are editing 24/7 to keep up with the workload.

But I did have time to squeeze a trip to Mexico in. I knew we wouldn’t have another chance to go until the new year so we booked the trip on a Monday and left on the Sunday.
We had a great time. We slept in and ate some great Mexican food. It was the best vacation I have been on in years!

So I thought I would make this photo of the week a mexican one!

Enjoy,

Oh and watch out for a ton of blogs……I’m going to catch up in the next couple of days!

iphone-1.jpg

This a shot taken last night with my brand new iphone.

Yes, kids I went out and indulged (my palm actually self destructed last Friday)

No I didn’t stand in line for 4 hours. And no I didn’t pay premium for my 16GB pretty black iphone!

I just lucked out!

And I love it. It was always a chore to sync my palm with my mac. And the first time I plugged in my iphone I think I saw a glimpse of heaven.

Emailing has never been easier.

The only downfall is I have a new # 519.841.7840.

So get out your cell phones and day planners and add the new barebonephoto digits.

I’m now off to photograph three families at the Ronald Mc Donald house in Toronto!

Have a great day!

Some of you may recognize this shot from the huge print of it in my house.

I took this shot 5 years ago with my nikon 90x with close-up filters.

I need to shoot more macro!

Enjoy!
