This is Eric Boyar…..he is amazing Chef.

This is the restaurant he co-owns with his family in Woodstock.

This is some of the amazing food he prepared for Brianna ( half of the team @ the last forty percent ) and I.

I would have this soup everyday for the rest of my life if I could……..it was amazing.

Hello….ravioli and scallop…..I was in heaven!

My main was a mushroom lovers wet dream…………..too much info…oh well…..it was good dammit!

I can’t even start to tell you how amazingthis was…….every time I look at that little glass of spiced hot chocolate…..I drool. And that candied orange peel was evil!

In conclusion….it is the best meal I have had for 5 years! Expertly plated and the balance of flavors were to die for.

I’ll get Eric to tell me what was exactly in everything……because I have done a hack job of describing things.

So the next time your thinking……where should I take my someone special ( yes Brianna..that was you  ) take them to sixthirtynine.

I promise you won’t be disappointed.

Oh and I almost forgot. Eric was nominated for Best 30 under 30 this year……so send out some good vibes…..I’m sure he won’t need it…..but it always helps!

Now for the day after shots………….

If you know Lisa or I you will know that we are huge TWILIGHT fans, actually more like HUGE Edward fans, Not Rob Pattinson….EDWARD……so this is my homage to the “meadow” shot.

For those of you traveling to Playa Del Carmen there is the perfect little piece of beach right at the dock for the Ferry to Cozumel.

It made these next couple of pictures……love the color!

When we were done shooting and the sun was set, when both Lisa and I noticed this wall……….we just looked at each other and said “Oh yes……we must shoot here!” I love working with other photogrpahers.

Lisa was my assistant for three years I got to know her VERY well…….she makes me laugh and always brings a smile to my face. So I thought I would let her do the same for you……sorry Lisa…..I had too.

Lisa I miss having you as my right hand woman……..and Adam your pretty good stuff too! Hope you love the images as much as I loved shooting them!

Well….this seams like a long time coming but I only got back a week and a half ago.

I just wanted to do Lisa and Adam’s wedding justice. So I’m spreading it over 2 days. This will be my biggest blog post EVER!

Erin and Jeff got married at La Hacienda Sarria just over a week ago! I still can’t believe I sat in the crowd while one of my dear friends got married……..needless to say there were tears!

While my good friend Chris did the official photography………I was able to sneak Erin and Jeff away for some shots of my own. To read the back story……..click here.

Both Erin and Jeff are very easy to photograph………but the light I got the evening of their wedding was breathtaking…….thank you light gods for shining down on us that day.

So I met Erin……oh 4 years ago. She hired me to shoot the cover of her vocal CD.

And the rest is history. She has become a great friend.

When she told me she was engaged I was so excited! But she told me that she wanted to me to be a guest at their wedding and not “working”. So I had to figure something out. Because I would cry if I couldn’t shoot Erin on her wedding day…….so in come Chris Kufske from Click Photography. Another good friend of mine……I thought if Chris could shoot the wedding…..maybe she would let me shoot for an hour to get the as Erin puts it “barebonelook”. Well Chris was free and Erin loved her……and now I can shoot my good friend Erin on her wedding day and still drink and dance the night away! I so can’t wait.

I am IN LOVE with this first shot…..can’t stop staring…….oh and you may notice from now on all the vertical images are going to be made horizontal I had some requests from some blog stalkers with smaller monitors……I guess everyone doesn’t have a 24″ like me……enjoy!

Yesterday I had the opportunity to second shoot for another photographer. And I loved it!

It gave me the freedom to try new things and shoot from angle that I wouldn’t get when I’m the main shooter.

Christine from Click photography was brave enough to let me shoot along side her.

The photography industry is constantly changing and keeping up with it can be a full time job in itself.

A couple times a year I try to do something to edumacait myself.

This year I thought I would do my first workshop ever. And who better to loose my workshop virginity to than [b]ecker.

[b]ecker is an incredibly inspiring photographer from California. Not only does he take great pictures. ( you can check them out at www.thebecker.com.) But he is an amazing business person. And has always been driven to share his knowledge with other photographers and that has turned into www.thebschool.com.

Well I learned a lot at his first ever Canadian workshop and I hope to be putting some of the thinks I learned into action shortly.Thanks [b] for all the ideas and inspiration!

But of course this wouldn’t be a blog post without pictures!
