At the beginning of this year I made the announcement that I was going to shoot more portraits  and less weddings. Just so I could spend more time at home preparing for the arrival of babybone. Well……bam! Portraits abound. Here are some of the results of those shoots……..

And how can you have bellies without babies……….Shane is the cutest little dude ever!

I love the difference between the next two……the first looks like he is asking his first love ever out on a date!

So I met Erin……oh 4 years ago. She hired me to shoot the cover of her vocal CD.

And the rest is history. She has become a great friend.

When she told me she was engaged I was so excited! But she told me that she wanted to me to be a guest at their wedding and not “working”. So I had to figure something out. Because I would cry if I couldn’t shoot Erin on her wedding day…….so in come Chris Kufske from Click Photography. Another good friend of mine……I thought if Chris could shoot the wedding…..maybe she would let me shoot for an hour to get the as Erin puts it “barebonelook”. Well Chris was free and Erin loved her……and now I can shoot my good friend Erin on her wedding day and still drink and dance the night away! I so can’t wait.

I am IN LOVE with this first shot…..can’t stop staring…….oh and you may notice from now on all the vertical images are going to be made horizontal I had some requests from some blog stalkers with smaller monitors……I guess everyone doesn’t have a 24″ like me……enjoy!

I photographed Megan and Levi’s wedding 2 years ago. They are actually one of my most published couples……see wedding pictures here.

Since their wedding I have photographed Megan the first time she got pregnant and then when baby Adam made an appearance. Now were onto the combo belly and family shoot with a couple of Adam in there to round it out!

Megan and Levi are self professed barebonelifers and I can’t wait for the next Barabbas to appear…….should be any day now!

I met Shannon in college where we studied Creative Photography together.

She was always one of the coolest chicks!

And she has now turned into one of the coolest mum’s!

So when she asked me to photograph her family I jumped!

I love this first one……who says crying is a bad thing!

This is the pose she prefers……..sucking fingers and twirling pigtails!

Golnaz and Sid have been one of my most decisive couples ever. Since the moment they sat on my couch they were saying things like……”When you shoot our wedding……”, and “When you take a shot like this”.

I love that!

It makes me giddy when people know that they love my work and the only question is “Chicken or Beef?”

Golnaz and Sid will be married this July at Heart House in Toronto.

Amy and Ryan are getting married this August at Legends Estates Winery.

For the e-session we headed to The Guelph Arboretum where they were engaged.

I always worry a little when a location is a “park” and especially this time of year.

But I could not have been happier with the location! There was concrete and texture everywhere.

I think the images speak for themselves.

Melissa and Robyn were wedding clients of mine that have turned out to be great friends! I shot these portraits of them a couple of weeks ago. Grifyn is six months old in these pictures……and way too cute for words!
